The North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church Presents
Annual Christian Education Event Sunday School and Beyond

Vital Signs
2006 Sunday School and Beyond
Welcome

Sunday School & Beyond has served for 20 years as a North Georgia Conference event that has equipped laity and pastors to provide better Christian education in the local church. In that time span, much about Christian education has changed. This event is also changing with the times. Christian eduation now goes far beyond Sunday School to include weekday youth groups and children's ministries, small groups meeting in homes and informally at the church, Bible studies in community locations outside the church, and more. All of these have one thing in common - to help people know more about Jesus Christ and the love of Christ.

This newly designed format will allow more flexibility for the participants. The structured workshops are grouped in the morning, and the keynote speaker will share with us interactively for an extended time. You are asked to choose only ONE workshop to attend. After the workshop and the keynote speaker, Luther K. Snow, we will enjoy an early boxed lunch with informal table conversations on our ministries. Then participants will be free to visit as many workshop leaders informally in a clinic style for a time of questions and answers and to receive "home remedy" sheets full of ideas. Prepare your questions before your arrival, during the morning sessions, during lunch, or in the "clinics".

The new format this year allows you to spend 5 hours in learning and to be finished by 1:30pm. It is a more compact schedule, but it still will offer much help in Christian eduation ministries for you and your local church.

Vision Statement

Teachers, leaders, and pastors are invited to participate in learning experiences that focus on the traditional Sunday School ministries, as well as ministries of Christian education that move beyond Sunday morning as we address teaching and learning in the broader context of church and community.
